Our chef will provide expert instruction for a "make your own hors d' oeuvres reception" or guide your group as they prepare their own four course meal. Read on for the objectives of this event:

Having novice chef's responsible for their peers' dinner is no slight task. Imagine a top executive suddenly responsible for the salad course of a large dinner party; would they know the endive from the frisée? If the fleuron goes on the dessert or salad plate? Just what is an edible flower? This is where the team comes in. People with different tastes and cultural references work together to present their part of the whole meal.

The group is divided into 3-5 teams (pre-arranged by the meeting planner to maximize objectives) and each team is assigned a course to prepare. In chef's hats and aprons every one looks the same and has the same task; to complete the assigned meal course in a specific time dividing the food items equally and presenting them in an appetizing manner. Our Chef Team Leaders will provide guidance and answer questions during the event.

We know the world of cuisine can be obvious or complex depending on the personal experience of the participants. The same is true in business and working together creates a new flow of ideas moving toward a common goal. This type of group activity is easy and non competitive because the final product motivates creative expression.

The outcome is a shared social yet business relevant event that provides insight into co-workers hidden talents and renews appreciation for one another's leadership, decorative or technical abilities ("Gosh, who knew that Frank could make butter curls so perfectly?") and is a learning experience about different types of healthful foods available today.
